Bye
It is literally the last 40 days of the year.
I went to the gym and finished reading Ramit Sethi’s I Will Teach You To Be Rich. It’s a key marker for me. I really want to lean into getting my finances in order. Part of that is understanding the how and the why. After reading that book, I can figure out tangible tools about the how. The first four chapters were critical to me. The fact that I can automate my money blows my mind.
The tougher part is looking at the motivation behind that. I have to dig deep over the why. There are a couple of things I want to do and they require money and time. I know what I love to do. I have to get to actually doing it.
This time of year begins the start of my pivot to what I want to achieve in the following year. 2018 was a good year. I did a lot. I learned a lot. I went further in learning about the world around me. I got to meet and work with amazing people. I went to the Cape and did Airbnb. I went to DC, Ottawa and Montreal.
I think the most important thing I learned that I will bring into the New Year is gratitude. It helps to frame everything into perspective. I write things down that I am grateful for, have learned to meditate and really try to surround myself around positive people. I listen to podcasts and follow people on social media, who speak to me from that space. I hope to amplify more of that in my life. That coupled with my faith will help me in envisioning 2019 and the top three actions I want to execute on for this coming year.
One of the proudest things I have done this year is stand up my website. I used Wix to get a website and start www.ameliaaubourg.com. It is a space to connect with people, readers and clients. I am deeply grateful for taking the first step and for Wix.com. I also want to thank all of my readers for supporting my book.
